Located in the Andaman Sea off the south coast of Krabi Province, Koh Rok is actually two small sister islands: Koh Rok Nok (the outer island) and Koh Rok Nai (the inner island). The islands are uninhabited and the location is rather secluded, which has helped them to remain relatively unspoiled. The beaches of the islands are pristine, consisting of beautifully soft white sand. The interiors are heavily forested and teeming with wildlife – giant monitor lizards over a meter long are frequently spotted on the beach.

Had Man Sai is the most popular beach on Koh Rok Nok. It is the perfect place to spend a lazy day, before watching the sun disappear over the horizon. You can also rent a tent here, allowing you to spend a night under the stars. If you decide to stay overnight, you will need to bring your own food and water because the islands are uninhabited and therefore there are no facilities.

The islands are surrounded by aqua-blue water with visibility normally exceeding 30 meters. The distance between the two islands is just a few hundred meters and the water only reaches a maximum depth of 15m. Although relatively shallow, the waters are abundant with marine life and the thriving coral reef is among the best in the area. This makes it the perfect destination for swimmers, snorkelers and beginner divers alike

The islands were formed from steep limestone cliffs, some as high as 200 meters. During the low season, you can take a boat to see the rainwater forming into powerful waterfalls that cascade from the cliffs into the ocean below
