Visa and Travel Documents Required for Thailand Visit:

Like all the other countries, Thailand also has a specific set of requirements when it comes to Visa and Travel Documents that you should take care before traveling to Thailand. You must never proceed without the necessary travel documents because this will put you into unnecessary trouble ruining your vacation or your business trip.

You need a valid visa to enter the Kingdom of Thailand. You will be able to get your visa either from a Royal Thai Embassy or from a Royal Thai Consulate-General. You need to check with any of the above two places regarding the specific visa and travel document requirements pertinent to your nationality. If you are exempted from tourist visa exemption, you can stay in Thailand for 30 days without a travel visa. However, you will have to hold a passport issued by the exempted country. There is another visa category that allows visitors from certain nationalities to obtain their visa on arrival. If you are travelling under this category, then you can stay in Thailand for 15 days after getting your visa on arrival. There is a third category whereby you will have to have your visa stamped before you leave your country. If you belong to this category, you can get a valid visa only from your country of residence and if you happen to be travelling round the world and if you want to travel to Thailand en route, you must make sure that you have your visa stamped on your passport before you leave your country. The visa you get will be valid for three months. In all the three categories, you can extend your stay after completing necessary formalities.

You must check with the embassy or consulate in your country, to which category you belong and how much you will have to pay for your visa. The visa feel will change from time to time so it is better to get that information when you plan your trip.

When you are applying for the visa, your passport must have a minimum validity period of 6 months only then you will be eligible to get your visa. It is also important to check whether you are traveling from a country that is in the list of Yellow Fever infected areas. If you happen to be from one of those countries, you must go for yellow fever vaccination and get a certificate that states that you have received the vaccination.

When you want to apply for your visa, you are expected to go in person. However, in certain circumstances you will be allowed to send your representative. It is therefore better to check with the Thailand embassy or consulate in your country. Thailand issues visas under six categories namely Courtesy Visa, Diplomatic Visa, Non-Immigrant Visa, Official Visa, Transit Visa, and Tourist Visa.

When you have taken care of your visa and travel document requirements, you can proceed with making further arrangements. This will also give you peace of mind once the difficult part is taken care. The rest of the arrangements will be just a breeze with the help of APLLC-Connect.com.
