Due to the fantastic variety of experiences on offer Thailand has become one of the world's best holiday destinations. In recent years, Thailand has also become a popular vacation for people with medical conditions, so what is a better way to exercise and have fun then to play a round of golf? Thailand has a variety of courses ranging from municipal to world-class tournament courses, catering to the needs of golfers from every level and all walks of life. There are approximately 200 golf courses throughout Thailand, over 100 of these benefiting from facilities of an international standard including popular cities such as Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, Pattaya, Cha-am, Hua Hin, Phuket, Chiangrai, Rayong and Khao Yai.

What attracts many golfers to Thailand is the comparatively cheaper green fees compared to other destinations throughout the world, (especially if you play during weekdays, as the green fees are higher on weekends). Many tour operators offer golf vacation packages, although they are not too widely advertized. It would be advisable to check with your tour operator to see the options that are available to you.

Many of Thailand's courses provide outstanding accommodation and dining facilities. Not having to travel long distances between your hotel and the golf course means you will have more free time to enjoy your trip. Most golf courses are well situated, so if you ever fancy a change of scenery, there will be many beach resorts and villages close by.

Thailand has a tropical climate, so unlike many other destinations where at certain times of the year you will have to battle the elements, it is possible for you to play all year round in relative comfort. There are also courses that have lighting facilities, so you can continue playing long after the sun has set.
